Having owned the bike for a couple of months now, and being brand new to blade ownership, I wanted to tinker a little with it (as you do), cosmetically for now.
The bike when I bought it

My first task was to remove the pillion pegs, what an epic that turned out to be! Made a schoolboy error and just set about the bike taking bits off, before searching the forum for guides/info. Actually stopped the first time round, thinking 'this can't be right, there must be an easier way surely'!
Errr nope! I was in fact doing it the right way according to the very helpful info on here.

Once removed, I set about removing other bits, namely rear seat and replacing with brand new OEM cowl.i also fitted the marmite rim stickers! Hey ho, I likes them anyway. :)
Turned my attention to some carbon goodies, and started off by buying pro fiber carbon fibre swing arm covers and matching frame covers, a HRC carbon fibre rear hugger.
I found the pro fiber covers to be excellent quality, however I didn't think they were the best fit (unless that's how they all are, as I didn't find any negative reviews about them), having said that I have never previously bought and fitted a set.
Me being a novice, I also found them to be a PITA to fit, due to having to remove the fairings.

Once these were on and secured in place using silicone and ty wraps, I fitted a new wing mirror due to a minor mishap resulting in falling object from within garage making contact with it at the swivel base and snapping it.
I then fitted my new OEM SP cowl, which I was in two minds about, due to the design on it. Now it's fitted, I really like it, but know it won't be to everyone's taste.

image.jpg The bike already had a R&G tail tidy fitted from new, but as I was wanting to fit an integrated light, I wanted to remove the tail tidy and relocate the numberplate, to tidy the rear end.
I purchased a universal hinged mounting bracket from J&S and set about modifying it, by fitting the reflector and LED light from the R&G one onto this one.
Coupled with a blanking plate from the good old USA as is the Motodynamic rear light, it's tidied the back end up. Not legal, but tidy! :D
image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg So all that was left was to fit the number plate bracket and hugger.....voila!

    And here she is now.......

I'm loving the really slick tail piece now but would be shitting myself with that number plate arrangement.

Looks really nice - lots of work and a good finish

(make sure the chain is clean and wipe off excess lube - else it will fly off over the rear wheel and undertail ! )

Yes, really good work. Nothing tremendous but a clever touch up. The carbon frame covers look good. I might get them at the end myself at a cost of course...we'll see

Thanks for all your kind comments guys n gals. I know I am running a HUGE risk with the number plate location & angle, but hey ho, I only have myself to blame if I get into bother. Am relying on the fact that the presence of the Police is so low now due to cuts and the organisation having to stretch its resources to be more effective in its Policing methods, they will leave poor ol me alone! Well that's my answer and I am sticking to it! :D

Abb!, your bike is looking spot on! Where did you get your carbon covers from? Also, I think the SP cowl looks the business!
