Sorry about that all. I only noticed this morning via FB the forum was down and got in contact with Rob ASAP to get us back running Hope you did not have to spend to much time talking to the other half lol Any idea what was Up rob?
Forum still has bugs like the header error, the Ducati site is the same, has a fair few offline moments, tbh hardly any other sites I visit crash like these two (ducatiforum), whats up Rob you spill your coffee again or something, UPS offline again like me no power on the key meter...lol That new web server of yours has gone down more times than a good hooker
More than likely old forum software. I know Rob was going to get something sorted but unsure if he's had any luck or time to do it yet
I have just informed rob of the issues and if he can sort this and give you all some feedback from him
If I could make a suggestion, take a look at vBSEO as I think you will find this is causing a number of your errors. vBSEO basically is a mod that re-writes url's to make them more search engine friendly. Unfortunately vBSEO closed their doors late last year stopping a number features that work within the mod but you can't just delete the mod as all the url's that have been re-written will cause 404 errors This may help Rob understand a little better Removing VBSEO for vbulletin – Reverting back to vbulletin URLs | Unix Linux Forums | Web Programming
I shall try again with Rob to let him know we are having more issues and now you cannot get to you Profile cheers Again and sorry I cannot do more than try and pass on the issues to Rob
You should be able to access your profile now as I know Rob's sorted that but as for the other issues I have not heard anything yet
Getting DB errors if I click on New Posts. Also when using TapaTalk I don't get anything under Timeline or Unread
Yeah TapaTalk pulls the unread messages through the new posts link from the forum and with it causing a db error that's why it's not populating. As an idea if Rob doesn't want to mess around with the live forum in-case something breaks and puts it off line completely, it would be worth creating a sub folder on the server Make a back up of the site / database then re-install it into the sub folder and use it as a test site He may already be 20 steps in-front of me and this might already be in place
