okay guys i have been looking into getting Brembo or Accosssato front master cylinder to improve the feel of my front stoppers. But currently cannot justify the price at the moment. So i have been exploring other options. The main advantage about these levers were that they had a 19mm piston compared to my 08 blades 17.5mm. i'm not keen on the amount of lever travel before the bike stops.
I've read on here guys that have went for the R1 Brembo MC. i myself have ordered a Nissin MC from a Triumph 675 which has a 19mm piston, and am hoping it will give me less lever travel and better feel. I know the quality will not be as good as the aftermarket stuff but for the price its worth a try! Once all the bits have arrive and i have fitted it i will write a small review.
Oh and i picked up a complete 2011 Daytona 675 MC with lever, resi, and switch for £32 delivered! ;)

Will work, and will change the feel, that's the funny thing most that "upgrade" the master report how much better the brakes are but in fact they have reduced the pressure on the system and changed it for a firmer/harder feel, the ratio that Honda give is carefully calculated to be best under all circumstances but people often complain it's poor.

If your interested this is how you calculate the ratio and how you can predict the feel you want. I've posted this before :)

Feel is all about the ratio of the master and slaves.

    The formula you need is:

MC Piston Area i.e. Area of a circle =(3.1416 x piston diameter squared)/4

    Master / Slave = Ratio

    For example:

Brembo M4 monoblocks have two 34mm/34mm pistons so using a RCS 19 mm diameter master cylinder gives 7263.4 / 283.53 = 25.6:1 ratio. Nice ratio.

    Modulation Characteristics:
    30:1 - soft
    27:1 - sweet spot
    23:1 - firm
    20:1 - wooden

When you change the leverage applied I.e the Falcrum you adjust the amount of leverage you apply to the piston again changing the feel.....

Arthur, do you know if Honda changed the ratio from the 04-07 models and the 08+? I preferred the feel on my 06 to my 08.

okay guys i finally fitted the new MC and took the blade for a quick blast. first impressions are very good! the lever feels much more positive and brakes feel grabby! i feel like its going to throw me over the bars if i pull too hard! fitting was very easy, the longest bit was trying to mack the MC bracket fit.

oh and a small plus is the new reservoir is smaller then stock, and the brake switch is located more to the right hand side giving better clearance for my stainless steel hoses!
