None other than massive deprecation had my 2018 2 yrs no issues at all great bikes.....done 5k mikes on it ...and cost me 8k for the pleasure..
The traction control was revised in 2019 and it was separated from the wheelie control aswell. Just be sure its a 2019 manufactured bike and not a 2018 model registered in 2019.
I bought a 2018 MY bike in Feb this year just prior to lock down sonits registered as a 69 plate. If you have and photos of the front end you can usually tell the 3 different model years as subtle paint changes were done. Anyway great bikes, just make sure you get a good discount I did 3 year pcp Discounted bike down to about 16k ( I think) £150 pm x 36 plus small deposit Balloon of about £9900 or hand it back Above is my deal and just for ref if your still haggling
have a 17 model here and just covered 20500+miles in 3 years of ownership so far; only thing went is cam chain tensioner which was replaced (only it being annoying cam chain rattle, still rides fine) at about 8000miles other than wear and tear items not much have change from the 17-19 model other than electronic refinement from what I've read
The word fireblade on the side is written below the line and in the red of the side panel for 2017 bikes. The nose of the which on mine white within a blue pinstripe is reversed for 18 and 19 bikes. So the 19 bike ( I think) will be blue with a white pinstripe around it just like the 2017 but will have fireblade written in the same place as mine unlike the 2017 Jeez bloody complicated this...... Or switch it on and see if you have 4 or 5 selectable options on dash Power, traction, engine braking and suspension (4) The 2019 will traction & wheelie control separate rather than combined giving tou5 instead of 4. Clear as bleedin mud
Is it not easier to locate the 10th digit in the VIN? eg RA-H is 17 MY? Of course this means you need to be standing next to the bike in question.
