now this was a bargain Lot 19 - MOTOR VEHICLES, MOTORBIKES, CARAVANS - BAILIFF AND COURT ORDER REPOSSESSIONS (Catalogue 3887) - T.L.H Auctioneers - Auction Catalogues - i-bidder.com - Bid online at real auctions ooh ooh big mans toys a plasma cutter for Arthur!! http://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/the-auctioneer-ltd/catalogue-id-4232/lot-2147584
well i would consider £5780 for a 11 plate wi less than 1900 miles a bargain doesnt matter if its at a auction or not.
2 x 2011 bikes went on auction via HSBC/close finance auctioneers last year, iirc went for 3800 & 4100
post a link up for thier next auction as ithink thats the way to get my next bike because ive seen em go for more than 5k close finance/HSBC at Bawtry auctions check my other thread. just because thats the price on the fall of the hammer dpesnt mean they were sold as close finance reserve the right to withdraw the lot if they dont reach thier minimum resreve http://www.bmar.co.uk/Vehicle?SaleD...ehicleid=16baa902-5f7b-4677-a09a-fedad8090ba8
local shop closed over here but no on mentioned about selling the stock off to recover money owed.....848's and 1098's with zero miles went for under 3K
i thought that was a complete steal at that price!! if they go even cheaper (i'm guessing there is a reserve and many are not agreed price like dave says) then why on earth would anyone buy elsewhere??? going to take a proper look into this.... would it come up on the bike history its a repo and then de value when you try to sell it? my experience tells me if it seems to good to be true it usually is! if it is legit then you would expect to see closer to market value reserve rates, much like property prices at auction these days - too many people are clued up to allow the minority snap up the bargains!!
Its all about having the cash sat there. not many folk have A. The Knowledge and B. The disposable income to buy a bike and sell on, repo's are not registered in anyway, takes a little longer to get V5 usually, also, the stolen bikes been resold at auction as finance repo's a few years back did auctions in, 99% of salvage goes through copart, so its only really the odd finance jobbie or stolen recovered that goes through auction, and as its not that well known they generally go for a song. I saw a 2009 HRC blade with 2 keys, V5, full akra, rearsets etc go last year for 2800 and thats what it sold at, no reserve etc. quite often the auctioneers pay the finance company a nominal fee then the finance company will recoup any excess from their underwriters. Bargains to be had, its just knowing when and where to look (winter time in the usually 100% car auctions is the one)
So how do we get to know of these forthcoming sales because if i can pick up a 2011 blade for £3800 il av 2. theres a 2012 yzf125 with 44 miles on at Bawtry registered 4/12/12 next month by close finance now this bike retails new at £4200 so will be interested what it goes for!
just looked at the small print for the original blade that sold , there is an extra 21% to go on the end price, that takes it to £6993 . i got my repsol from repsol rob on here on an 11 plate 1200 miles with an akra pipe for not a lot more than that ,this time last year. cheers rob.
Yes you did......but the small print on my sales doc read 18% additional fees to be paid by end of Jan 2013 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well you know how it is .. end of january, car tax due, tt ferries to pay for, brothel bill to settle . looks like you will have to take me to court for the rest mate.
