A pal had one of these. Was noting but a ball ache. Constantly going wrong & waiting for parts aaaaallllllll the time...... Typical Italian bike
The 1078 first came out in 2008, the 1090RR in 2010, but there were some 1078's around unsold for a few years after the 1090RR came out.
First one is 2009/2010 Brutale (probably late registration, second one is 2011/2012 and clocks light up orange (mine registered 06/2013 but is 2012 model), 2013 clocks are the same but light up blue. MV is under Harley Davidson now and the bikes have come on leaps and bounds. The old reliability stigma for Italian bikes has massively improved, I have a few mates with Italian bikes (including myself) and all is good.
