I'd like to update the model information section with the 2012 bike. Rather than steal someone else's work it'd be great if there is anyone who has ridden the bike extensively and has had experience with the previous generation bikes and could write something up for the site & potential owners?\

    Thanks.

    Rob.

    I own a RRA.
Having rode the 2012 Blade for only 1/2 an hour, this is what I found:
Sitting on the bike it felt more like a racing bike. The reach to the bars felt uncomfortable for me at 5ft 6".May suit a taller person? The grips didn't feel soft.
The throttle twist had alot of slack 1/4 of a turn.Could explain why my wrist was aching when I came back.
The suspension felt hard for standard settings lot's of jittering over uneven roads.Maybe better suited to a track on those settings.
The bike itself had 250 miles on it so the engine was pushed only up to 8k revs.I didn't notice any improvements in pick up or power.
That exhaust sounded horrible needs a different can.Not keen on the colours available this one was red.
The gadgets and clocks were what I liked about it.
Maybe an hour on a warm day with it and things could have been different.
First impressions didn't make me want one. Sorry

Whilst my bike gets it's first service done by Kent Motorcycles they are letting me have the 2012 blade for an hour.So getting off of the old model and on the new I should feel differences between them.So will keep you posted on what It feels like with leathers on and on a dry day. This will be tomorrow morning.

Went to Kent motorcycles who lent me the 2012 blade again this morning I went for a ride with soonbedead on a VFR1200 he borrowed. Here is what I found on a drier day with leathers on:Just hopped off my RRA 2010 blade and on to the 2012 model.Sitting on the bike it has less padding on the thigh area of the seat.I felt the edge of the seat on my thighs. The 2010 seat feels much more comfortable. The reach is more forward than the 2010 model. The foot pegs feel the same. All the controls are as the 2010 model.Tank feels a tad thinner. The bike itself feels lighter.Love the clocks and gadgets etc.
Out on the road the first thing you hear in traffic is that flapper in the exhaust,it seems more noticeable than the old model.Out on the open road the mid range is more stronger, definately quicker through the gears.Coming up to the higher revs quicker means it is easier to wheelie, power wheelies no problem..I am chasing an VFR1200 through the gears and we are going for it,the blade was right on his tail but keeping that front end down was a bit tricky.Performance wise it was much better, more responsive than mine.We went through a few roundabouts with speed, the suspension again is harder than mine at standard settings the back end doesn't hop about when changing direction quickly and going over crests and ruts it felt sturdier.
I think Honda tweaked it in areas so that it excells on fast roads and tracks.Back to back against the older model it is an improvement especially that awesome lowdown grunt.
    Would I buy one?YES I would!
But only if: the colour schemes are better,Black n white or Repsol would do it for me. Change the exhaust to an Akro and a more comfortable seat.
