Anyone ever had a custom exhaust made for them in titanium?

I managed to pick up the headers and can made by arrow in titanium of fleabay a few weeks ago, just missing the link pipe. Fruitless searches and phone calls to arrow etc have left me no choice to have a link pipe custom made (2006 under seat). Had very limited interest from so called custom exhaust companies and the one that said he may be able to help apparently has no 50mm titanium pipe left.

Any suggestions? I don't want stainless if I can avoid it so titanium is still plan A?

 

Use another manufacturer like Akro or Yoshi, they all fit the same.

 

Not this time.. The arrow can is a competition one and has a 60mm inlet, headers 50mm

 

I know the system, your problem is that 71335MI is the link pipe that arrow use for the normal full system, the same link pipe fits the can's they sell and OEM collectors, the full fat race system is nothing like that, little info remains of that system. I saw it a few times on eBay and did some research for a mate who wanted it, was unable to locate a link pipe, maybe talk with Racefit, they are about the only people who would be skilled enough that I know of to make a Ti link pipe..

Yeah I know it, defo worth getting the pipe, you may spend another 300 for the link but well with it IMO.

 

will be £300 well spent for sure.. ASS exhausts only ones offering a glimmer of hope with them trying to source Ti 50mm (they have the 60mm)

 

Yep that's it, nothing like the normal run of the mill Arrow full system, not just a small link pipe that! You will do well to get it sorted! Rare system that IMO.

 

I won't be beaten haha.. weight is amazing.. feels lighter than an iPhone!

I have a "bit" of evolution ti link pipe from the akro system I butchered. Will measure it see if it could be modded.. The bottom part was cut off but looking at the pic you posted the arrow link pipe is much shorter so could work maybe?? Will take a pic

well a wee update on my search for someone to make me the "missing link" (see what I did there ) pipe haha. ASS Exhausts in Newcastle have managed to source the 50mm and 60mm Titanium for manufacturing this link pipe. I'm booked in for the pipe Friday 10th October, so just need to fit the Ti Headers and load the bike up onto a trailer / van for the trip to Newcastle. Probably about a 4-5hr journey from Aberdeen so plan to get up 3am, and be down at ASS for them opening at 8am. Stuart at ASS reckons he can make this pipe in one day, so will travel back up the road to the North Pole (Aberdeen) in the evening.. Wish me luck!
