Just been out for a spin in the transit and by god it was windy!!! Good fun tho. What's it like where you are??
My mrs and daughter can't get home from her mums as a lot of the motorways are shut near us so all the traffic is been re routed through Warrington so I have sky tv and a double bed all to myself .
Shite was supposed to go down your neck of woods south kilvengton York to pick a horse up give it a miss until tomorrow now, more time to spend on me rr
As with most of the country very windy but thank f*** no flooding. Feel so sorry for everyone who's property has been flooded, hope you get the assistance you need soon. It seems to me that only since the Thames has started to flood parts of Surrey, its only now are the Government seem to be taking action and brought it the troops etc The population of Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, who have been effected seem to have been ignored for the last few weeks
Nice steady 51.3mph West-Southwesterly blowing here in Blackpool. Latest observations are....19.50hrs gusts recorded at 72.5mph The Strongest gust recorded was at 19.20hrs and that was a healthy 78.6mph.
We had a number of visitors from the South who left about 16;00 to get back to Reading and London by train - no idea if they will make it or when. In Hindsight they should have gone earlier. Up in Scotland the ski resorts have more snow than they know what to do with and its still absolutely throwing it down - more than Whistler and most in Europe I read somewhere - snowed 60 of the last 65 days or something daft.
I have to be magnanimous to all sufferers from the regions affected by this frightening weather, despite my own having been in serious trouble since before Xmas, and my heart goes out to all those people in Surrey facing terrible flooding. Especially as the destroyed rail link in Dawlish means they can't escape to their cottages in Cornwall.
I popped to castle combe today on my lunch to get some fuel pipe and bits from Merlin Motorsport and was bloody wet and windy. not fun at all
Well it peed down this morning to clearing a bit this afternoon to high winds this evening, so a good day in all lol
I hope it blows itself out by friday.... I'm riding Plymouth to Gosport. Nice roads but the cross winds are a pain in the arse through dorchester.
100mph Gusts round are way. Picked the eldest daughter up from her after school revision classes and past 4 trees down in the road on the way. 30 mins later on the way back it was up to 6! Luckily all were just partial blockages so we got home OK Spent 20 mins outside battening down stuff that might blow away overnight.
lol guess you haven't seen fridays forecast then.... 120mph winds, i work right on the bristol channel we had gusts upto 95mph yesterday
