http://youtu.be/BUK39MtdNyE Ive just found one of these on ebay.. I want to fit a QS and am toying between HM and the new Healtech but have just spotted this and wonder if anyone has any experience of one or any feed back about HM vs Healtech !? Think a launch control is what i need too for some green light shenanigans
I like the launch control a lot, the pit lane limiter could be good for motorway riding with the introduction of rear facing average speed cameras now in roadworks
Hi Blackness I've just fitted the Healtech QS and I can say that after one ride it feels silky smooth. I haven't done any adjustment to it yet but straight out the box it seems really good to me and the price is very good. I have only ever had a Dynojet QS before that I took off as I felt it was jerky and heard a lot of bad stuff about them as they work on the fuelling side. But then again as Martin, in regards to the launch control, says I don't need one but I want one so thanks I now have something else to buy
Not a bad price either SP FULL RACE UNIT Honda CBR1000RR,CBR600RR Launch Control, Quickshifter, Limiter | eBay
Which bit of it do you reckon will kill the gearbox, launch control or QS ? Has anyone had gearbox problems from using a QS on the road ? If they put a £500+ price tag on it would you have more confidents in it ?
I know someone put a SP qs on their zx6r and the box shit itself very quickly. Its not the price but if theyre able to make profit on it at that, how much research do you think really went into it. I use a HM and it still eats gearboxes because the blade has a known weak box. Its not worth making it worse imo! Plus electronics mess up, esp cheap ones. You dont want a dashboard full of xmas tree lights if it goes wrong.
Hmmm, so am i right in thinking its the QS that would cause the issue with the box !? It was really just the launch control that caught my eye...
Without wanting to sound rude, why cant you just hold the throttle at 5-6k and let the clutch out. Learn it once and youll have it for life. Would you really trust a system where you hold the throttle wide open and dump the clutch that isnt from a reputable dealer? Braver than me lol
I can take off no problem dude... Honed my trigger finger from the age of 5 ! I was merely entertained by the idea of such a devise on my bike, as i have one on my BMW (car), and seeing if anyone has tried one !
Would be cool but think your trigger finger will be better as you'll be able to gauge conditions etc better
