for what? HRC and Nova are the 2 main boxes. never used a nova,but from what I've been told they are awesome.obviuously you can specify what ratios's you want if buying new,but most tend to have standard 1st+2nd,then very close ratio upwards of that. HRC again are very good,but they are a ittle bit notchy at lower speeds in 1st+2nd due to the amount of dogs ont he gogs (3 instead of 4 or 5 on a standard box),so basically they take a little bit longer to engage and feel a bit jerky (for want of a better word). novas come in around 2k,not sure on the HRC but wont be far off that either.
Wow that's expensive cheers scoob. Do they come up second hand ever or mayb a complete engine. 09 by the way. Not sure how many miles are on the bike either
you rarely see them 2nd hand,i sold a HRC a while back,but that was due to breaking the engine anyway. 1 thing though,they are expensive,but are a lot better,and have only heard of 1 nova breaking (that was on a duke). compare it to how many standard boxes break (I've had 2) they are a good investment imo.
I'd say your right there. I don't really see me selling the blade. I prob will want to make it a bit faster to try keep up down the straights. Best I start looking into that for winter
A forum Member on ere has a Nova gearbox in his Track only Blade, he was in our garage at the Double Dayer TD at Oulton on the 15/16 of July Can't remember what his Username is TBH but he has one Trick Blade with GP4-RX Brembo's amongst tother trinkets! Jase bought his 'old' 'as new' standard gearbox off him. Think the Nova jobbie was £3K fitted

Mines pretty sorted apart from box and engine mods. Is there a huge bennifit of brembos over regularly cleaned standard calipers ? I think would be hard to sell mine for a good price as a track bike. Most people are only interested in bm/Zx now. Would like his engine if he wanted to trade. Was he fast onit ?
All I really want is more time on my bike and decent rubber and not to worry about a gear box failing and gettin in a pickle
