I've got an Hitachi Action Cam which is great but has a stupid 3-prong mounting system that is almost impossible to get mounts for. I've cobbled together a 3-prong to GoPro mount adapter but it adds quite a bit of bulk to the camera case. Just wondered if anyone knows if they could produce an adapter plate with the 3 prong on one side and the GoPro 2-prong on the other? So this on one side: with the 2 prongs of this on the underside: Hope that makes sense. I don't have a clue about 3D printing so don't even know if this is viable from a cost point of view. Obviously if it's gonna be mega expensive then I may as well either put up with my functional but bulky mod or just buy a GoPro... I realise I would need to provide accurate dimensions and provide samples so that a 3D model could be produced, which I am willing to do. I'm sure there a few people out there who would love something like this. There are a few different vids on YouTube describing how to make the cobbled version, and sites like gopro on Shapeways, the 3D Printing Marketplace and Community could even be used to sell the 3D printed version if it were made Any one have any thoughts?
I have feeling my eldest son has access to a 3D printer at Uni. I will ask the question, but he is on the summer "getting pissed with his mates and lying in bed even more than usual” break at the moment so I doubt I will get much sense out of him just now.
It would take hours to draw it out in cad or whatever software they use.. Don't think it would be viable cheaper to buy a gopro!
I suspected as much, but thought it would be a nice project for someone if they wanted to sell them afterwards - hence the link to shapeways.com. Lots of GoPro stuff on there for very reasonable prices. Sadly nothing that meets what I need tho.
