    Hi

Just looking to purchase a 2nd bike and fancy a RSVR 02 in Yellow or a Ducati 749S, anyone had one and are they any good?

Seem good value at the moment.

    Cheers

Had a 53 plate rsvr ( twin exhausts ) loved it, better bike than my sp2, plenty of torque & will keep up with much newer machines, never had a 749 but did have a 996, every time I took it out thought it was going to explode, didn't like the dry clutch, go for the rsvr!!!!

Also had one. Had an 04 plate RSV Factory with full Ohlins set up, cracking bike, loads of torque as mentioned but pretty focused seating position and hard suspension ..... Makes sense when you "rode it like you stole it"

If that's your bag, snap one up, you won't be disappointed!

The biggest problem you will get with the Aprilia is if you brake something on it then parts are basically non existent hence the reason there is more dukes on track days than Aprilias. I had an RSV milli R and loved it I would be riding an RSV4 if it wasn't for the parts issues a mate of mine had an rsv factory and it developed a thermostat problem he ordered one for it at the start of the year but he sold the bike before he even got the part in November it took so long the dealer actually posted it out into the next year, I would hate to see how long it would take to get the parts if you were to bin it

Also had a RSVR, awesome fun, if you like hoolin,,, wheelies and just wanna have a blast, oh yes, hard to beat, you won't believe the low revs and low speed you can lift that front wheel, downsides,,,,,, terrible fuel consumption, really challenging to actually find a comfortable gear to ride at legal speeds,
    I'd have another tomorrow me

Agreed! I bloody love the power of a V Twin. Not an easy bike to ride slowly, but certainly a memorable one ;)

My old one is the one you need, a yellow R with 12k on the clock and a Harris carbon H/L pipe! Sold back in June 09 for £3250 and it's probably still worth the same money! The guy who bought it from me lives less than half a mile away and has never ridden it since he bought it. He just looks at it in the garage. Says he's gonna start using it next year when he retires!!!!

Mine is post #8 in the thread below.
