BBC News - Indonesian capital Jakarta hit by deadly flooding Does not look good - no idea where he is in the city but that's pretty bad and could get worse. Nearly met up with him to go Motorcrossing a few weeks ago just outside Jakarta - stupid lack / miss communication meant it never happened but so good of him to offer to show me the local MX track and have a go on his bike - hope his home and family are all OK
He's normally on here at odd times and quite randomly (probably due to him living half way round the world). I too hope him and his family are Okay.
Hi Guys , yes its a wee wet here but lucky we are not flooded out at our house or office , schools are closed most banks are closed and we sent staff home at lunch time yesterday to make sure there houses where ok , it still hasnt stopped raining here so i expect it to be a lot worse today than yesterday . Look on the bright side its still 30 degrees :-}}} on another note the fully rebuilt CBR engine is going back into the bike will be ready to run in on the dyno next week :-}}} Sepang here we come
Good news all is ok bud. Mood mate who's over there is flying abut so not around that area at the mo As for the CBr engine why was it out, what I miss?
it done a crank , when they tore it done in the UK , old mate said it had some of the best parts he has seen in it but looked like it was put together by monkeys they had removed the balance shaft as well ??? no idea why they would do this . anyway i know you guys are having a wee bit of snow at the moment well we are having some rain , this is the main round about in the centre of town
went on holiday 2 weeks ago - don't know if I could live / work there - City is a disaster - no transport infrastructure or plans in place to do anything but build more and more roads - rubbish EVERYWHERE - tuk tuks, etc. causing chas - polution etc.
Sounds about right, I haven’t been for quite a while now but seems not much has changed. On the plus side, I do love the climate in SE Asia and can’t wait till we move to Penang on a permanent basis. About five more years here with any luck and then we are off, although, having said that I will be coming back every month or so to see my kids. Does the traffic still snake down the roads like it used to?
