I've just seen the weather for case and it looks good for tomorrow, as long as the roads are dry I'm out for ride. Who where and when???
I'm working till 13:00 bloody month end!! Might venture out a bit later in the day if it's dry though Carl. More than likely WWoods way. Pissing it down as I type!
Yep. I'm out. Jeanette thinks I'm cutting the hedge while she's shopping but....it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission. I may take a run down through the south hams then up onto Dartmoor.
Your welcome anytime you're around mate, you know that. I'm always grateful that its only 20 minutes away.
I would have attempted to swing me leg over and risk my back, BUT, Darek phoned this afternoon to say he has a spare ticket to the Superbike's at Silverstone on Sunday and I would like to go. Does a bear shit in the woods? I don’t think it would be wise move to bugger of on Saturday and Sunday, There are some very sharp knives in the kitchen and I quite like my plums where they are and not in a jam jar
I am working all day on sunny Saturday but have the whole of rainy Sunday off, typical lol Got Monday off though and that's meant to be dry but not much happens on a Monday Enjoy your sunny sat off, I am not jealous..... Really Simon
Just home debugging my visor. Terrific run down to Torquay. Called into the Victory dealer to snigger at the customers. Then on across the South Hams where all the grockles have disappeared and despite there being a fair bit of traffic, most of it was toddling along at a fair lick and those that weren't I was able to intimidate out of the way by driving in a low gear on main beam. We were going to blat back across Dartmoor but decided with the road we were on being pretty clear we'd ride it again in the opposite direction. Good call as my mate has got his mojo back with his riding now and Devon in early autumn was created for bikes. Coming off of the arse end of the Haldon escarpment down the switchback drop into Shaldon we could see most of the way along the Jurassic coast towards Lyme Regis and a tiny, tiny smudge on the horizon that may even have been Portland. Back over the hump to the dual carraigeway and a, just, legal blat up to Bridge Motorcycles for a coffee where we chin wagged and bullshitted with a pair of Harley riders who had just been filmed for a documentary about petrol heads, an elderly couple trading in their Trophy for a new Bonneville and even the salesmen were in the mood to chat. We strolled up the road to SP where I promptly fell in love with a pair of TCX boots and an all black Blade, registration number MRO 8EER........no, Jeanette would kill me. A good day. Keep em coming Met Office.
I took a ride up to the Humber bridge, thought I would ride over when there's a gale blowing to make it interesting? Stopped at willy woods for a brew and introduced a chap with a RR7 to the forum, very nice autumn ride, very enjoyable. Was hoping to meet RichC at WW but the timing was wrong, may be next time Rich?
Sorry about timings was late out of work then had to drop mrs and baba at her mums by time I'd got changed out it was missed! Well fitted my new ASV levers and played with the new Quickshifter Christ does she fly now! Definatly next time Carl.
I will be heading to H-cafe tomorrow and possibly Loomies but after 280 miles today my wrists are aching more than they should be.
