anyone used a heat gun to restore black trim

    i will be giving my daughters car a good goung over this weekend, snow foam,clay bar glaze and sealent but apart from gtechniq c4 which i cant find in any shops as i need it this weekend i was thinking about using a heat gun.
    anyone used one and got any tip's? and will i need to seal them after?

    I used to do it to my old mk3 golf gti. It does work, really well! But don't go too close and keep the gun moving.

    Thank for the reply fella! Did you use anything to seal it after? Or do you just leave it?

    I left it. It stayed black for a lot longer then other stuff I've tried.

    Idid see a detailer use a autosmart product (the name of it has left me) on a ka bumper and took it from almost white to a deep black almost instantly. All I remember is that he said it was expensive.
