Well i converted my other bike, a BMW R1100S and I wouldn't be without 'em cos they are literally brilliant. I'll soon be getting round to doing my 'blade The biggest problem is finding somewhere to mount all the 'gubbins'. I've been thinking of putting them under the seat and using extension leads Xenon HID Headlight Kit EXTENSION LEADS WIRES 100cm 1m | eBay to the h/light. In the long term tho I'm going to buy a spare light unit and convert it to a double projector with 'Angel eyes'. Should be able to run with both dips on then. There's a site selling a kit already built but it's from the states, it's expensive and that's before HMCE sticks another lump on top.

a mate has just fitted H7R on his jizzer with good results.
its like the normal hid h7 but its designed to be used in a reflector housing rather than a projector, without giving ridiculous glare.
theyre not cheap tho!!! H7R Anti-glare HID Xenon Bulbs headlight bulbs purpose built for...

ive used hids before - took them off my sp cos i couldnt see shit at night.
they look mega bright but the beam pattern is total toss.
found myself going slower with the hids and ended up fitting some 100w superbright xenon instead and what a difference!

a lot of the time its the crap oem wiring and switchgear that lets the lighting down.
ive had good results in the past by just fitting better quality / uprated bulbs and using a relay kit like the beaver stuff so the lighting takes power direct from the battery - makes a massive difference.
    Wiring Kits

another good mod is to convert the h7 to h4 so you have 2x low beam and 2x high beam so in effect double the light.
you need the lighting relay kit above and have to modify the base of the h4 bulbs to fit in the h7 shell but its only 5 mins with the dremel.
    amazing difference :)

will add pics if anyones arsed.

I was looking at the H7R kit rather than the angel eye mod.

The interest in this mod comes up time and time again and the resultant Faff then scares off most Peeps.

You'd have thought someone clued up would have started offering a drive in drive out service by now, can't see it being un-profitable either!

mmmh see what you think at night though in the dark lanes....
get out somewhere where theres tree lined lanes and no street lighting and you might be surprised - they do look waay brighter but the beam pattern is rubbish.
i thought so anyway, and took mine off.

ive only used them on the sp1 and sp2 btw - maybe totally different with the blade reflectors.
with the sp it just makes a hooj circle of light, lights up the trees and the road at the sides but doesnt cast a beam any distance which results in a slow ride for me.
i can only ride as fast as i can see lol!

mate has them on his bandit and says theyre great.
not much fun when youre in front of him though. get dazzled to fk.

ive still got the ballasts and relays etc so wouldnt mind trying the h7r though....

for day riding ive been using some blue superbright 28 led sidelamps and have not had a single incident yet where anyones pulled out.
like the parting of the red sea when im filtering lol!
    highly recommended.

compared to riding with headlights on they still pull out - wearing blue lights they spot you a mile off.
funny as fk when you see them lash their fone in the passenger well and theyre like mirror speedo mirror speedo :D
secret is to stay just far enough behind so theyre not quite sure....

ive tried a few different types and these ones are without a doubt the brightest ones on the market
    awesome. very visible in daylight.

hard to get a proper pic as theyre so bright, but trust me, if you saw this coming up fast behind you, you'd shit yer pants lol :D

"its not illegal btw as long as they dont flash"

However, if one was to switch between High & Low beam at a regular frequency with one's left thumb.....................................................;)
