My current one is 9 yrs old and is on the blink. I am looking at purchasing a new one from Apple. My TV is also about 9 years old. On the Apple web page there are 2 types, 4K and regular . Obviously, the 4K one is more expensive. Which should I purchase? I imagine my TV is not 4K. Would 4K work on my TV & would the picture be of a better definition? Thanks.
no your tv now will not do 4k, your better buying the 4k one, it'll be the same as the non 4k apart from u can watch 4k when u upgrade your tv to 4k, not much 4k broadcasted really, i'v just got a gzimma box last week of ebay from a guy local 2 me with all the channals on for £140, if u get one local u can get it sorted if it goes down, u need sky or virgin with broadband tho, its usually about £70 a year after that for all channels for year, u can get firesticks chipped as well, prob get apple ones chipped too,
I don’t own Apple tv but I imagine the 4k version will auto detect the resolution of your tv. It will then downscale any 4k content so won’t necessarily look any better than the HD version. If you’re going to upgrade your tv get the 4k version as 4k tv’s are relatively cheap these days.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zgemma-B...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I got it last week, seems alright, no messing searching like u do on the fire sticks, more like a cable box, I had one last year too which worked alright but not flawless sometimes not working, prob try get one local to u, so u have somewhere to go back to , but this guy seems ok tho and hes local to me,
trouble is these boxes are un-reliable and prone to fry ,best option i could find is iptv, having 350 mb broadband from virgin helps. installed the smart iptv app on all the samsung smart tv,s in the house, all 4k btw, popped over to fabiptv and got the lot for 9.00 a month, thats all movies and sport, boxnation etc, over 2500 channels. simply case of posting your mac address to a link sent by fab, works without any buffering although tvs are ethernet connected, works on wireless but ethernet far better, not much 4k out anywhere and not really worth the purchase for non subscribers to premium packages
also got the smart iptv app on the mobile, allowing me to watch sky sports etc at work ,if i can get a break
I program all the boxes and sticks out there.I am more than happy to show anyone how to do it themselves. It really is easy. I pay for broadband and that is it.
I run the Smart IPTV app on my Samsung smart TV. I then got one of the Facebook groups to connect me to the TV service. It really is very good , every single channel you could possibly imagine and Video on Demand (VOD) most of the latest movies, Netflix programmes and Amazon Prime programmes. The only thing I have done is install the TP Link ethernet things so I can physically have my TV wired instead of Wireless, that's only because my wifi signal in some parts of my house is poor.
I paid £10 or a months pass when AJ fought the Russian dude. If you are on Facebook then there are a few suppliers. If not then PM me then I can add you as friend FB.
