OK so chap is selling these headers as stock RR4-5... dont look stock to me thats for sure!! Any idea what make they are? Shite pic I know.. Looks a bit Akropovic to me..
Shouldn't there be a "Y" shaped piece that they slot into before the pipe rises up to the tail link pipe too ?? Also judging by the spring locating points, they aren't stock pipes. Maybe Akropovic...but obviously hard to know...
Thanks Tom, yes the seller has the rear section with the y piece. Bought them for £30 hoping ive got a bargain!!
£30...bargain at that price..and if they are Akro and Ti then they are a steal....they sure don't look stainless or mild steel TBH. When I took the baffle out of my rear can that was Ti and very similar in colour to that..
Yes I thought they looked like Ti, but you never know. Will soon tell when they arrive OK great just wanted to check they werent stock headers, knew they werent RR4 but perhaps RR6, the guys saying there stock so bit odd.. Worth a punt anyway, he says he has the springs too so not like hes got the wrong picture up
hehe sorry Martin, he said he was talking to another chap Sorry matey, he had the y piece in another auction. Cost me £50 all in Why you would sell separately anyway is a bit odd...
Defo Akra, springs are 8.00 each and the alloy header clamps are 100.00 a set, prob worth 450-500 fit that lot, also 100% Ti.
I think you should cut them up and sell me the new one for a small profit for yourself I'm sure you think different though
the same thing happened to me a few years ago aguy was selling a set of stock headers for a zx7r local to me advertised in my local paper they were his sons who rit his bike off and been left in his dads garage he wanted £50 for the lot when i got there it turned out to be a full ti akropovic system including end can with no damage i was a very happy bunny when i left there with them
