I have 2009 blade and only do trackdays

Its fitted with the titanium full race system and has a baffle which sits inside the end can.

At Rockingham this Saturday it read 104db in the static test

Really i want to get down to sub 102 as I enjoy Oulton and thats the limit there...

any one got any ideas as to how I can get the noise down a bit... The bike was about 75degrees warm at test?....

Re-pack the Can and maybe get a longer baffle etc.

A little tip I was shown by a veteran Track Dayer is to drill a hole through the end of the Can at it's outlet so that an M6 Stainless bolt can be inserted at 90 degrees to the outlet running straight across the middle of outlet hole, a bit like a clock face at 6 O'Clock.

This feks up the sound waves natural pattern and hence lowers the db level also.

Get your bike up to 100+ degrees as you could drop 1db there also it was mentioned to me about pulling the clutch in (not tried it so not sure if that works) .:D

I'm pretty shure that with a pcv and a laptop you could richen the mixture at test rpm to dull it down a bit for the test then tweek it back up after.
I found this when messing about with mine and it defo changed the engine note.
I'm sure some folks on here will no a lot more about it than me.
