Right all, nothing in the pipe line yet But both me and Denzil are looking at the Austin racing exhaust. I want something a bit louder than my Yoshi R77 for the road and he wants to get one for his new 12 Blade. Just how loud are they for these who have them aprilia RSV4 SPECIALIST PARTS - austinracing Was thinking if there was interest from others on getting a Austin racing exhaust it may be worth me Emailing them. calling them to find out what they can do etc.. I'm unsure if I want the higher GP2R & GP2 or the lower GP3 can like my Yoshi at the moment Thoughts?
I'm interested too. Be nice if we could get a GP1 as per the coming soon RSV4 model. Much more of a modern go look compared to the others.
Funny you should put this thread up I have just bought one had a few problems with the db levels and if you plan to use on trackdays take note. I originally got the gp2r for my blade and they quoted 102db out of the box as it comes with different inserts to make it louder or quieter they advertise 98db-120db I can believe the higher one but the lower figures are way out it was 108db and it will not pass any uk trackday noise test and it caused me a load of problems at oulton park the other week . So I sent that back and now have the carbon gp2 which is 102db with the 30mm insert you get,and 103db with the 50mm insert you also get a db killer which should reduce it down to 98db or remove all inserts and it sounds awesome and loud The exhaust is the only GP type exhaust I could find that you could pass db levels on a track day if it's just for the road then the db level isn't such a big deal. The welding on the exhaust was done by God himself very well made pricey but worth it just to have something different. Gp2r Gp2
Austin racing are just round the corner from me. In fact I happened by chance to meet a guy who works there at a local bike shop too. If I can help, perhaps with face to face negotiations them do let me know.
On the gp2r I had to fit a db killer I had which was like a straw and a load of wadding and only then it was 101db I went out on track and it was like riding a 125cc it was that restricted so I came in and removed it all and hoped I wouldn't get caught with the 2 drive by noise tests they have on track luckily I didn't,was on the phone the following day as I missed 4 sessions trying to get it to pass.
As I said just a idea and just wanted to get feedback first. No idea of prices or even talked to Austin racing yet. But I'll if we can get a few who would go ahead
Right I've spotted 3 interested so that makes 5 in total so far. I will fire off a email and find out more and if 1000rr73 can see if he can have a work also to make sure they know we A&E also local to them with members as well and interested I won't do anything other than just send them a email as I'm hoping for maybe 6 minimum maybe
Just updated my first post with a decent picture of my bike with the GP2 on both awesome looking exhausts I think.
I like the Gp2. looks lovely and if it's able to get down to under 100db I'm happy. My Yoshi is around 100-102dv with the baffle in and over 105db with it out. But the noise with the Austin I like the rasp you get

I am at oulton park tommorow and will be getting the noise test done with the db killer in with the 30mm insert so will let you know what it is as that will be the quietest you will get the exhaust.
