Are you flying or riding to Austria?

If riding you cannot do it, fly there and hire bike and fly home then yes

Great roads there, needs more time.

Its bloody miles esp from Wigan to the tunnel even is half a day pretty much.

Did 115 miles through the Austrian mountains last year, 115 miles if pure racetrack roads, hairpins, long sweepers, the lot! Pure bliss! i can't remember where it was though, but a weekend would be too far IMO... It's fooking miles away!
We remember going past a church on the side of a mountain, doing 50 miles, and seeing the church on the opposite side! Strange!

That's a fair old run from Wigan even leaving early Friday and getting back late Monday. Even if you did it in one day each way you'd be prerty flaked the Saturday and Sunday when you'll want your full concentration. And you'll probably be dreading the full-bore run home on Monday.

I'd go on the offensive with wife and say 'I'm not going to Austria cos it's too expensive.'
To which she will hopefully say 'That's nice, dear. I didn't even know you were thinking of going to Austria.'
Then you say 'Don't get lost in the detail. I've saved us a fortune. So I've ordered a set of Dymags, you lucky girl. I love you etc'
    Bosh. Sorted.
