When I'm not out on the blade or doing a million other things I love to shoot aircraft. Shoreham air show tomorrow - fingers crossed for a bit of sun and a 'Simpson's sky'!
Great shots fella. I need to get me to an air show and take some myself cos I love things like this! Is that last shot a composite shot or is that as it was taken? Looks great!
I was looking at the other air show pics via the link and the quality is amazing. Is that what expensive lenses get you?
Madmac - it's as taken. These are always a bit hit and miss. You have to try and anticipate the cross and then press the trigger at 10 frames a second generally focusing and following the nearest aircraft. Steve
Most of these shots are with a Sigma 150-500mm. For aviation I use a Nikon D300 so with that crop frame sensor you get a 225-750mm equivalent
Off to the Mach loop next Tuesday , Was going too invite you giv But looks like you might be busy lol
Hi Kevin.Although I have never been it sounds like a drive to mid wales park up climb a few hills and at the top Jet fighters are wizzing about over your head .must be fantastic . I am sure someone on the forum is a pilot or has access to the programme when the planes fly.Do you fancy it?
Its between machenclyth and Dolgellau , You can park up at layby and walk which the first bit is ok But the last bit is a killer , Or you can drive up a track and park up with a 5 min walk On the other side , Depending what mountain your on depends on what picture your after , Top of jet with pilot or or underneath , The jets come towards you head on and just has they get too you they turn on there side , First picture is of view from mountain ,
