Wife is just starting her second bottle of wine whilst prepping for tomorrow. I've been on call since last Saturday and will be until 0900hrs tomorrow, so no drink til then. Woman are so cruel sometimes. Still, champers popped open for breakfast tomorrow
I know what that is like milky. When I was a Fire Officer I used to often get a straight 57 hours on call. Everyone around me used to be drunk and I would have to be sober........Grrrrrr. Since retirement it has been a bit better, but this year I am on medication that totally does not go with alcahol at all. So I will be alcohol free for quite some time........big ba humbug. Merry Xmas
So a big clap on the back for those who protect our interests and safety whilst we all roll around in the gutter for 48hours. To all emergency service workers everywhere a very quiet Christmas and a shout free new year.
My sister is a nurse . She has just walked throughout the front door from work , she is going to bed now as she is back in at 5.30am and working all day tomorrow . I said she is nuts , she said " sick people don't have a day off for xmas " 10/10 Its not a job i could do
I work at London's biggest airport so no Christmas for me. Working late shift until midnight tonight, tomorrow & Boxing day, then early shift all over the New Year. I know it's not as important a job as the boys & girls in our emergency services, but people still want to fly on Christmas day. Hats off to anyone who has to work over this festive period.
I am working nearly every day this Christmas and New Year, helping to stop nuclear mushrooms growing all over Kent!!! Merry Christmas, just off to work now!
same as you Milky, am delivering the nations motion lotion, people want it all throughout the year. Lotsa £££££'s though
NO MORE ON CALL yeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Second bottle of champers opened. Merry Xmas chums and thoughts to all those working, I know how you feel
