Seems like ages, but it has been just a day off two weeks since the 'deer incident'. The second, secondhand radiator was fine, fitted and run up to temp and the slightly twisted fan was straightened and surprisingly still works. New middle fairing fitted (thankyou Stu) top fairing to be fitted later (damaged one taped), lower fairing repaired with araldite. Temp job done on footpeg, at the wrong angle but functional. So all that needed to be done was a test ride..........it was so good being back on the bike. Took it easy for the first 8 miles to check the rad and hoses were ok and then blasted it. I just had to go down the route where the 'deer incident' happened, sort of psychological conditioning for me I think. Went a a bit more sedately than last time lol and then twisted the life out of it. Bit cold and roads a bit damp but I just love riding the Blade soooooo much, all is well in the world, the bike is back on the road and I have a big grin again. Thanks to everyone who offered support and gave me the nod on parts.
Cheers guys, two weeks felt like two months. So good to be back, felt like part of me was missing. Managed to miss the pheasant that tried to head butt me as well...........result.
Top news . I would have done the same as you and blasted down ''Deer Alley'' or should that be ''Dear Alley''
Great news Nige. A bit of good news at last. I'm with you on the 'therapy' route too. Spit in the eye of the Bad joo joo. Well done Biggles, limping on despite all.
Yep, well pleased. next mod is may 3rd when I get dyno done with baffle out and switch to allow two maps and finally get my Rizoma rearsets fitted, which I now need as I have had to bodge up the right footpeg which was snapped off. Hopefully will be out on bike tomorrow if weathet OK.
Good to hear Ex, but not as good as to hear you were not involved in the Dereham issue yesterday. Sends a shiver down my spine, more so if it could be one of us.
Don't think he was involved in the Dereham incident mate. He was hit by a DEER a week or so ago. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
