i came out to a flat battery on the car the other day so put it on charge, refitted it and all seemed ok until the next time it was driven! stopped at a station went to start it and got the click click click noise again so jump started it and got it home re charged it and put a volt metre on it the read out was just over 13 amps but as soon as it revved it dropped really quickly and worse so with all the radio climate control on does this sound like a knackered battery or alternator?

    cheers

It will be a dead cell in the battery. The alternator is obviously working as it doesn't die on you when driving and you have 13+volts when running. Modern cars are very dependant on the battery, and very strange things can occur when you have a faulty battery!
