I need to fix the fly leads off my charger to the battery terminals after removing the rubber strap the battery seems to be jammed in super tight .Is it just a matter of teasing it out?. :Banane15:

yes - it is a tight fit

but once the strap is gone - it should come out - check that the power cables arent blocking it

No need to remove the battery to fit charger leads?

Please explain , on mine the battery is on its side with the terminals hard against the plastic upstand (seat side) which means they are half and half hidden from view and just trying to pluck the sucker out needs super human strength .

Trick here is to replace both terminal bolts and lift out with pliers. Easy peasy

Not wanting to look Chump of the year the question is how to get the battery out .If the battery is on its side with the bolts half hidden you can;t unless you are Tommy Cooper perform the Trick.I think you must have an earlier Blade .Has any one got a 2011 with the battery like mine ?it may be that i just say get a couple of screw drivers and tease it out.

Strange, my 08's (stock) battery is the right way up and I can access the terminals easy.

Maybe you could try removing the fuse box to get better access? (N.B. It's held in with a clip - flat blade screwdriver required I think)
