Can you get a smaller in size battery but with the same or better power than a standard battery?

I have an ABS blade and after fitting lots of electrical things it is very tight and hard to get the battery in place, also its not holding its charge very well (again) so need a replacement anyway

What are lithium batteries like? I have never owned one, are they better than normal batteries?

the ones Ive fitted have been pretty much the same size on the outside.. but about 800g vs 3.5 / 4kg. You need a special charger for them if your planning to trickle charge over the winter so thats a pain, but other than that just like a normal battery.

I did not realise I would need to get a new charger aswel
What are they like for holding charge?
My bike is kept away from my house with no power where it is, I don't know when I am or not going to ride it so it gets left for a while sometimes

Shorai lithium batteries are smaller than standard and have more cranking power, they send sticky pads with battery to make the same size.

I didn't use the pads and used the extra space for my power commander, although my bike is non abs

I've had them on my last two bikes. They are about 2/3 the size and 1/3 the weight so worth the swap over. I am pretty sure they lose no charge at all if you disconnect them.

They are quite expensive, would you say they are worth it? Where did you get yours from?
