I always hear people say you need to give freshly installed pads a chance to bed in. no problem on the road but ive just fitted some new pads to my trackbike and the first use theyll get will be on track because the bike is not road legal. does this mean i wont have proper braking power?

    Cheeeyas!!

as long as they aren't something like bendix mcr's then all you have to do is the 2 sighting laps to bed them in.

just keep leaving a little gap in front of you,get a bit of speed and brake hard,5 0r 6 times and your pads will be fine.gets them upto to temp and seats them on the disc properly.

do not go around lightly braking or feathering the brakes as this will glaze the pads up.

    job done.
