After perusing the stock at the DT open day today I may have to sucumb! Recommendations please guy's, with reasons also! I like this as it's not too 'Power Ranger' if you know what I mean! http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/leather-suits/spidi-track-wind-pro-suit-black-white
As my thread says that one I bought today was only £380 and is so comfy and has fantastic armour including back protector. You can get a range of colour schemes but as I like the "power ranger look" I went for the red one lol. Just a suggestion for you mate, Less than half the price aswell
Arc-On (based in Lambeth. Cough. Hint) Wolf (Essex) Scott (North East, I think) I got my A* 2-piece for £350. But that was on sale.
best try them on....I tried loads on and found clover leathers to be the best fit I could find.really really like them over the kushitani leathers I last had. they were also on sale so I got them for £550
Had a look at the Spidi last week and they look superb! Some really good detail and an option of the camel hump for drinks! Although up here in the north, it had better be a thermos and take soup!
Would stay away from dainese ive had the main zip fail after 2 weeks and had to replace the cuff zips aswell the quality doesnt seem to be like it used to or I just got a dodgey one Just my 2 bobs worth fella
Yes, a few Peeps have said Dainese aint what they used to be and are trading off past glories which aren't apparent in their current line up.
For under £800 I can't really comment but for way over BKS made to measure are epic. Had mine 4 years, fit like a glove as they should well vented that I wanted. Updated armour and roo skin
I got a Dainese 2 piece recently and have found it brilliant. Very comfortable and build quality is leagues above my RST suit I replaced it with! Interestingly due to the poor fitting of the RST suit I am unable to get my knee down as the suit doesn't allow your legs to spread very easily. The bum is too baggy making it tight when opening legs. Having dissed the RST I have to say in its defence you cant find a cheaper suit that offers as much protection and you could buy a brand new RST for the cost to repair my Dainese....
rst leathers - great quality and depending on which style between £300 - £550 quite a few colours available and if you need a better justification for buying look at how many riders in bsb use them. Especially if they are buying their own leathers
Mine's a Berik one piece and to be honest I bought it cos it fits and feels supportive. Number one thing for me was fit! Iv'e had it 4 years now and nothing is wrong with it, no dodgy stitching or anything. I have a few friends with RST and to TBH they swear by them. Best advice I can give is try loads on, I wanted some BKS but when I had them on they didnt fit right, same with AStars and Ixon. For £800 tho you should have a fair good choice
Looking at the replies i dont think there is a general consensus, especially as many suits iro £800 can be found for half that What i would be interested to know is how much better an £800 suit is than a £400 one? I paid £600 for a BKS Silverstone off the peg if that helps, can be bought for around £300 now.
Iv had an expensive dainese suit before but it never fitted me properly , it was always too tight around the crotch, I got an rst trachteck suit at the dublin bikeshow for a bargain price and fit and quality is spot on , I would say the dainese was a softer leather but the fit didnt suit my 6 ft muscular frame lol. Both suits were uk 46 I think its best just to try on a few suits and get which ever one suits u best and feel the most comfortable in
