hi all, just registered on this forum, I've had my 07 blade for about 6 months and am loving it. Had a few bikes in my time ,03 sv650,55 cbr600rr and 2010 triumph daytona 675 but the blade tops them all.Anyway i've got a bit of a problem i recently fitted braided hoses but can't seem to get the brakes up how they should be, When i fitted the hoses i also changed the fluid and the pads, Which were Goldfren HH sintered (don't know if these are any good). I am more than capable of bleeding the brakes but was wondering if it might have something to do with the pads and could anyone recommend the best pads to use on the bike for road use or give any advice on this, it's driving me bonkers . Thanks.

I think its fair to say the goldfren pads havent got the best reputation. i have sbs pads and love them, also had the same issue after bleeding my brakes and fitting new pads. had problems with trapped air but after i bled them a couple more times and given the pads a good few miles to bed in properly they just got better and better.

yes mate know what you mean, normally have mine set on #2, if i had it on 3 or more i could pull the lever to the throttle the way the brakes are at the mo. Hopefully the new pads will sort things out.

+1 on the SBS ones here. As suggested by the good folk of this forum. I'm not sure what brand were in before but the SBS were definitely a step up.

I like Honda pads myself, just got a front set for 29 from Bridge motorcycles on eBay (although the price may have been a mistake)
