    Hi,
I purchased my first Fireblade this year. It's the rr5 model. Standard gearing is 16 - 40. I will be riding it mainly on the tracks. ( cadwell, oulton + donnington )
I'm going to put a new chain and sprockets on and wondering which gearing set up would be best suited for them sort of tracks for my model? Just wanted a bench mark to start with.
Sorry for my lack of knowledge if I sound dumb.

    Cheers.

Most Peeps find -1F and +2R is good starting point for most Tracks

I run -1 +1 at bigger tracks like oulton, donny and Snet and +2 at cadwell and brands Indy.

But not sure if that would suit your model?

I been looking at this and was going on my with is 16F 42R to 44 r. But after looking at gearing calculations and so on and talking to a few people seems 1 down on the front to 15 and up to 43 Rear works well for my 2011 blade. 520 chain instead of a 530

just a idea of what i'm going for.

I do one down on the front. And 44 on the back and stick with it ;)
