I've got super corsa's fitted to my 2019 SP2 from new but wondered what people's opinions are on replacement rubber? Same again or something different and why??
I have Pirelli Rosso Corsa II on mine, and they are great. Really depends on what sort of weather you ride in, and pick a compound to suit. SuperCorsa's are great in dry weather, but have a shorter life. Michelin make some great tyres too, like the Power cup, or the Road 5 for all-season. They would be my alternative brand.
For an all round tyre that can handle track work: Bridgestone S22 For a more road based tyre that won't immediately melt on the track: Metzeler M9RR Another option for road: Michelin Pilot Road 5, but the M9RR is newer and likely better. Supercorsa SPs great on warm dry days and great on track, but not really a smart option for road use November - March.
I’ll be going for the Metzeler Sportec M7RR. Why - I had them on my ZX10R and they are great in all conditions including the odd track day. I can’t remember how many miles I had out of them but is wasn’t too sad. Good all rounder and I don’t think you’d be disappointed.
S22 seem to be good on my 2015 blade at minute. Seem good rain or shine and even at 3 or 4 degrees. Keep looking at the michelin power 5 as they sound good as well
Running the M9rr now on my R1, seem very good, as were the M7rr they replaced, great road tyre, I use Supercorsa SC on track and some road in warm summer weather as can't be arsed with swapping them over between track days
