Doubt you'll have space for any chain under there, prob fit a disc lock of some kind I imagine . You'll soon get posts to confirm or prove me wrong.

As a man who has suffered at the hands of thieving bastards on more than one occasion recently I found no chain and lock that I thought secure enough that fitted under the seat unit. The guy I got it off wrapped his chain in a double sleeve and fitted it over the passenger seat with the lock actually on the seat and the chain looped under the tail tidy. Over a year it rubbed a little so you would need to think if a loss of lustre on the plastic on the seat sides is acceptable. It occurred to me a light sticker on each side would have dealt with that. The weight is distributed better than trying to get a weaker chain in. I do recommend the Allmax chain and a ground anchor at home and on the road a Xena disc lock which has repelled 2 attempts to remove it. On a third occasion they cut the whole disc rotor off, the filthy barbarians, to move the bike. I realise this does not answer the question but it's the sum of my experience. The reality is as long as the bike is lift able it's vulnerable but a tracker is a good back up. I don't feel comfortable with a chain in a rucksack in case of an off. So maybe the wrap around by measuring the length of an Allmax will be worth thinking about. Obviously it only works with the soft passenger seat with no cover unit. As I said in an earlier post I'm getting close to being able to reveal the identity of the online outlet that was breaking and selling bikes on a national scale. The case is due up but has been twice put back due to weight of evidence and volume of thefts. Apparently they were doing a lot of business so you let's see if we can't make them hurt for what they have done.

I know exactly how you feel i had 3 cycles stolen with a value of £5000 and the police were initially useless. I tracked one of my bikes on gumtree informed the police with number and address but they visited and did nothing. 3 months later i tracked it on eBay and won my own bike back. Police helped me recover it. But crown prosecution in the end said not enough evidence to proceed! !!!!. What total rubbish ! I ordered almax at home with ground anchor and a garage defender for the door. I have been told though that a chain for securing the bike for the quick coffee stop would be best. Disc locks dont stop them putting in to a van. My advice to anyone stop the market for illegal stuff and it stops thefts. I was amazed how many cycle owners could not prove they were the owner.
