Ive just popped over to France for a few days I was surprised to see a number of blades, I come over reasonably regular given that my perents live here but it's never struck me before, I thought there was a 100 BHP limit on bikes here, I'm aware it's changing in 2016, are the France purchasing restricted blades an if so how is it done etc.

Well I popped into a bike shop in pontivie this afternoon, they had a 2011 BMW RR 4000km for 10,999 euros which is pretty good, I asked if the bike was restricted to which they told me no, all new bikes are restricted to 100bhp and people amediately de-restrict, the language barrier stopped me from asking how but my question was answered. I asked if the gendarmes have a problem and they said how would they know? The law is 100 BHP but no one is bothered they de-restrict and the police don't care?

I wonder if the Insurance Co's would see it like that if a Biker lodged a big Third Party Claim?
