Hi everyone long time no speak :D

just been dusting of the gixer 750 l1 for this year haha been flat out on the lcs anyway on to the question :)

want to set the sags on the front forks got the rear shock spot on but what Im wondering is are there different sag measurements for bpf's or is there a totally different way of setting them up? as it seems to come out totally how I dont expect

127mm unladen fully soft = 85 mm with with me in full kit givin 42 mm seem really soft

everyone I've spoke to seems a bit lost with them,

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

ps one year on review of the l1 and in a few weeks the pilot power 3 review :D should be interesting to see what they are like :)

I could be wrong but I thought you should be aiming at 30mm
Static sag and +10-15mm for sag with rider and kit.
If you think its too soft you could try 40mm.
Is your compression and rebound okay?

These forks have a long top out spring which will affect your sag measurements. The advice I was given by a suspension guy was to ignore the measurements and just use a cable tie on the fork slider. You are trying to end up with just 10mm of spare movement before the forks bottom out. Some stoppies or really heavy braking should push the forks down to the limit. Using this method ensures you use all the available suspension travel available.

Check out the ohlins vid on youtube. They say the only difference is
When you adjust the setting by more than 2mm you just have to
Check the top out length again as it changes. Apart from that
Set them up as you would with a normal set of springs.
