Just a query in regards to anyone using a bike cover, either dust or protective outdoor one, what are people's thoughts on them and which is the best indoor cover? Have been trying to source a fitted/specific one for the Fireblade, preferably Repsol. Advice appreciated as always.
Mines garaged but I use an Oxford Aquatex Camo for winter months inside & when I go away where its parked outside. Decent price, rolls up neat & pretty robust, does what it says on the tin.
Oxford stormex is what i use for my other bike. Pretty good in all weathers. If you are using it everyday then go with something robust...pricey perhaps, around £70 i think but worth it
If you've got the space, these are superb: http://www.bike-home.co.uk/ Cover doesn't touch the bike and therefore doesn't pick up any scratches as it would from conventional covers moving about in the wind (even if they're fleece lined like the Oxford ones). Plus you can padlock it shut to prevent anyone who is a bit nosey from having a look (though they do have the air vent flaps on the side which you can lift so an onloooker could still see what is inside if they wanted. If you haven't got the space for a bike home (they are pretty big, and will stay up all the time even when the bike is not there), then another recommendation for the Oxford Stormtex - my previous CBR600 lived under one with no issues.
