The curse has done it again.Every bike I've ever owned gets dropped.Mine was right outside work ready to go for a blast.Usual thing somebody comes to have a look and starts talking about bikes. What did I forget, you guessed the bloody disc lock.Down I went with my leg caught underneath. My pride was hurt nothing else and cosmetic things like the side of the mirror the top of the fairing cracked in 3 places small scuff on Ackro and scuff on rear tail.Good job my hunch told me to store up the originals:mad:

No way! Gutted for you dude.

Side of mirror: carbon covers...cheaper than a new mirror and looks better ( IMO)
if its just a scuff on the Akra, it will polish out with compound. Hopefully.
just the cracks to sort on the fairing mate.

    :(

    I feel your pain!

Thankfully only cosmetic stuff that can be replaced/repaired and not bones and skin!!

Easily done mate, annoying I know but could have been a lot worse. I think most of us know how gutting it feels so there is lots of empathy coming your way. Just remember, it will soon be summer and you will be whizzing around having fun on your bike. All the best nige

It's like a kick in the balls, I feel for you.

I dropped mine on the driveway after a day of fettling and polishing. Was just tired, thought the stand was down and boom it was on the deck.

Luckily I fitted some R&Gs only the week before, - they took all the damage!.

At least you're ok, and that most of the damage can be repaired/replaced.

I feel for ya mate, remember dropping my first Blade on my mothers car!

I'd had it up on the rear paddock stand on a sunny Sat afternoon, all cleaned and tidy and I though, I know I'll Oil the chain by starting her up on the stand, dropping her into first and then spray away.

All's well and good so switch her off and fek off indoors for 3 hours or so.

Come back out all geared up to go out and I proceed to roll her off the paddock stand (it was one of those), trouble was I forgot she was still in first so as soon as the back wheel hit the deck she stopped dead and I kept walking!

Good job me Mams Car was in the way otherwise we'd have been on the deck big style!

That's bad luck, I was considering a disc lock myself, but you have put me off, would one of those disc lock reminder lanyards have prevented it ?

I always use a bright yellow cord thing, coils up small but stretches upto the handle bar. Seems to work for me

To remind me I normally put a blue band on the brake lever. The guy asked me why I had a sock on the brake pot.Totally my fuck up, should have done the lock first, concentrating on what I was doing. When I see him next as a customer I'm charging him double:D
