Continuing my learning, been riding for 5 years but never been into modding

What is a slipper clutch and a quick shifter

I think I can take an educated guess but what are the advantages aswell as what they are technically ?

    Noob :)

In my own words, and keeping it simple as i am stupid :)

A quickshifter is a kit that allows clutchless up shifts/gearchanges by cutting the ignition for a split second unloading the gearbox so no damage occurs. It reduces the gearchange time, so in racing you gain an advantage, on the road it just sounds awesome pinning it and just going up a gear without the revs dropping off :)

There are lots of quickshifters on the market but IMO only one worth buying, which is the HM Plus. I have had a couple now and I just could not live without it on the road or track, also with the HM you just buy a new harness for £45 and you can fit it to your next bike should you ever want to sell the blade

Someone much cleverer than me will talk about the slipper clutch but beleive it stops the back wheel locking up as you bang back down the gears to use engine breaking ??? but I could be wrong :(

Different types available but primary functions are...
Slipper clutch prevents rear wheel lock up when braking.
Quick shifter allows gear changes at full throttle.

You don't need a quickshifter to do clutchless gear changes, only so you don't have to let off the throttle :)

You would need an auto-blip system to do clutch-less down-shifts effectively.

Its norm a feature of the ECU mate, so yes with HRC ecu or any that supports "blip".. no real cheap option imo..

Took a customers RR8+ out today with a HM Plus that I installed.....man that RR8+ is S U C H a good bike!! Best superbike on the market at this time imo!

Trust me though Dan, keep your bike, bling hell out of it, sigma slipper clutch, HM Shifter and a full system is what you need.

Dan the quick shifter redefines the way you ride a superbike, no more clutch just keep it pinned! We have all done clutch less shifts for years but NOT like this, staying on the power and shifting.....wel.....it just ain't right......lol But its coooool as fug.....lol Once you fit one you will never want to ride a bike without it again...trust me!

lol, true mate I don't care where people buy them and its no sales pitch on my part, the HM shifter sells its self and I sell products with the enthusiasm they deserve! If it were shite I would say its shite but...........its the best thing ever...lol Just ask those that have one is what I say to those that don't :D I will tell ye this if your mate has one and you don't each time you roll off the gas, blip to shift, grab the clutch to shift he will be another car lenght in front imo no doubt!
