Two deer ran in front of me today, then they ran back across right into my path, missed one but couldn't avoid the other. Not sure how I stayed on but hurting my right foot was the least of the problem.

    Visible damage : Radiator burst
    Top fairing cracked beyond repair
    Middle fairing cracked beyond repar
    Lower fairing repairable small crack.
Fan pushed back and sideways, unsure if usable or not
    Right footpeg snapped off

I was having a nice ride until then.

Will have to try to get some secondhand fairings and radiator and foot peg. My biggest concern is how much it will cost to get radiator removed and replacement fitted, anyone any ideas as to how much ?

PS my insurance excess is £900

Ouch, that is bad luck. My sis did that in a car.
Shame you couldnt take the dear back and sell it to a butcher, vennision gets a good price, might help to pay for the damage!

I got similar problems. Need full bodykit though...:( unable to work proper with busted back and i'm self employed. since you only need a few panels i'd just keep my eye on e bay, or give partfinder.uk a go, I used them in the past and got my ducati bits bloody quickly. Good luck with it all.

Removing and re-fitting a rad is a walk in the park fella..............2 top and 1 bottom and hoses. Living just down the road I often worry when I,m tanking it along the "Chase" or around your roads...............Feeling for you m8 but the bike can be repaired............Duck Tape is great stuff!

could of been much worse, a guy had an incident with a dear up here last year and sadly the result wasnt good, im sure all those parts can be found and put right for less than your 900 insurance excess

    Cheers everyone,

@Haggler, I usually miss them, but they outfoxed me this time, two of the panels are outside the scope of duct tape i am afraid, but one will be ok.

@fez, cheers mate, have made an offer.

Its the old ''You never know whats around the corner'' Nice to see you being so positive about the situation and no doubt once played back a few times in your head you will realise another couple of foot ect. Hope the foot gets better.

I didn't see what happened to the deer as it happened just before a bend and by the time I got the bike back under control I was around the bend (in more ways than one). I guess it was dead due to the damage, tore my footpeg clean off and ruptured the rad as well as poking a hole through the middle fairing which must have been from it's horn stub.
