well it’s time to renew my insurance again. Who is everyone using. I have clean license and two years no claims. Mce went in dry and came back with £1200 then knocked it down to just short of £600 but I have to pay first £1250 in a claim. Can anybody recommend someone please
Many on here will recommend BeMoto https://www.bemoto.uk/ I've used MCE and Bennetts and been plagued by hidden fees. They quote low and make it up mid-term if you need to make a policy change. Just this month I insured my MV and RS50 aprilia with BeMoto. Not necessarily the cheapest, but well worth considering!
6 of mine with BeMoto, so far so good about £400 for a Blade, SP2, VFR400, CBR400, CBR600F and new Monkey. They reckon they cover modifications as well so will replace an Akrapovic for another and not the standard part for example. Changed to them from MCN as heard they wouldn't provide cover whilst on the IOM during the TT.
Carole Nash have given me the best quotes over the last two years through MCN compare.....can't fault them, they even refunded me some money when I cancelled a policy half way through the term to re-insure my new SP with them. Again they were the cheapest to insure that......and that's an 18k bike
I've not used bemoto yet but I've spoken to them the past 2 years and even though they weren't competitive (due to age apparently) the people I spoke to were obviously clued up on bikes and were great to deal with. Now I've turned 30 I'm hoping they can be competitive otherwise it will be back to the comparison websites etc.
Try Bike sure been with them for a few years now, thing is with all these brokers and insurance companies (most of which we have never heard of) you never know how good or bad they are until you attempt to make a claim.
Bennett’s came out top trumps for me this year. Renewal with Hastings was £236. Managed to get it for £128 with bennetts (only did one search on go compare) I’m 30, 9 years riding, 8 years protected no claims. Bike is an RR7 blade, garages and covered fully comp. no voluntary excess and compulsory is £350
Kept trying to press agree but I've got fat fingers Bemoto are the first company I've ever had come back cheaper on my renewal than the previous year only 8 quid but still cheaper and cannot be beaten on price. Oh yeah and zero excess
Up until last year I had been with Bennett’s for many years. But because of modifications Bennett’s priced themselves out so ended up going with MCE at £123. I had noted what Nigel had said on a previous insurance post about MCE mid policy amendment costs, so made sure I got it right and didn’t foresee any changes to my policy. Edit. And Bennett’s had added almost £100 to my renewal, when I phoned them they said it was fluctuations in the market.
Oh no. That's such a PIA. We spend 2 minutes - many on premium numbers - listening to their blurb before we even get to speak to anyone. Friggin' computer voices and on hold music. I'm getting stressed just thinking about it. Good luck to you though.
I've been with Bennetts for the last 3yrs as found them the cheapest. Tried Bemoto but they couldn't beat Bennetts. My advice is to try Bemoto first direct and then get on the compare sites. The sooner you renew, the cheaper it'll be, as they slowly bump the price up closer to expiry date.
From experience mate. You can renew up to a month in advance, so as soon as I'm able to, I start getting quotes every week. The difference is only about £50 so far, but that's usually within 2 wks.
Cheers. I'll prepare a submission to BeMoto I have my 2018 Blade due in March and 2011 due in April. I'll try for a double deal on the pair!
