Has anyone tried one of these as I really like the look of it and is not that much more than a decent set of paddock stands with bobbins. There is a video on the link it looks a lot easier than paddock stands. Paddock stand acces.for Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade 08-12 Power Motor bike lift 4250429147480 | eBay
Bad reviews on here for customer service mate. Not me personally, but I'm sure someone ordered 1 and still never seen it months later.
Thanks Colin just looked at there eBay feedback ,bit mixed on this product maybe paddock stands it is then.i like the way the bike can turn round like they show in the video so you could have a slow dance with it(lol)
I think Stevebetts on here has 1 or similar mate. You could ask him for his thoughts on that 1. I've no doubt it'll work a treat.
My apologies I see this has been spoke about already on the forum and the feedback does seem good so my next purchase is one of these. I am so glad I found this forum as it makes things so much easier ,as for the last 10 years i have done enduro/ greenlaning(xr650 and a wr450) so did not no much about road bikes,as it was 17 years ago I had my last road bike(gsxr600)so things have changed quite a lot since then.
If Im right I also think Stevebetts had to make the adapters a little longer. I'm sure he passed the info onto them, for them to sort it.
I noticed he had done that maybe something to do I guess to make sure the bike does not fall off the lift.i would look at that if I get one .thanks
Hi I bought one of these , delivered very quickly , few problems to start with but the company sorted it all out in the end , very good product , bike is on it all the time , I even use it on the drive to wash the bike , makes cleaning the wheels easier , heres a link to a thread I started about it Bike Lift From Germany http://1000rr.co.uk/maintenance/4773.htm
saw one these at a show seemed a good lift, i'm toying with one of these or an eazy rizer myself , my abba is good but like the idea of the bike being raised of the ground....
Brilliant bit of kit! Few issues at first with pins! Buy I think all is ok with new supply. I modified the main bracket to my liking. You can find it on my thread .http://1000rr.co.uk/maintenance/2281.htm There is even a video showing it in use.
It appears from the previous thread that the Constands one is all done and dusted now, with the correct adaptors sized supplied from new. Nice.
I did try to get a group buy up togeather on these and had some good prices however people interested seemed to be put off by some bad comments by other members, if you are interested it getting one PM me and I can continue negotiations The only person i spoken too that has one is Stevebetts and he recommended it, the bad comments were from hearsay not owners of the lift
Hi Martin I have just bought a set ,i did email them first to check the adapator plate was the correct one as i had heard they had problems with the pins been to small. They said this had been sorted now.Cheers for the offer though.
I think the negativity came about due to an actual supplier. I think it was 'Envy' and it concerned missing delivery dates and lack of response, but I'm not certain. I think Steve's is a 'Constand' and the delivery was on time but the fixing kit was the wrong dimensions. They sent him a replacement but by then he'd made his own. I don't think he was the only one who had this particular issue, but the company did make an effort to sort it. I don't know what the ultimate outcome of the Envy customers were but I believe it resulted in cancelled orders.
The deals I was sorting was with constands I had a price for 5 people of around £170 per unit delivered and they said all teething problems were sorted like I said just pm me if interested guys
Hi Steve ! Meanwhile I got all the rights parts but I still can't get it working. Unfortunately it seem to me that I am the only one left with the problem. If you don't mind, could you do me a favour and post some pictures how it looks like assembled? ( or how to assemble it right ). Thanks!
