Bit of an odd one this but went to bike on tuesday failed to fire, turned over a couple of times then nothing, everything electrical was working except the headlight. checked all the fuses and the headlght/ignition fuse had blown,replace same 20amp fuse tried again blew straight away on trying to start bike. Decided to disconnect headlght renew fuse again bike started and ran fine,stopped motor connected headlight fuse blew !!! just replaced bulb and fuse and all good again. thought i'd post it up for other people and to see if anyone can explain why ? cheers
check the harness at the headstock, my RR5 was earthing there when a cable had worn through. also check the headlight relay, its on the left hand side behind the fairing (its coloured blue)
