Bike is now in storage and has been for last couple of months (doesn't get used on roads as a track bike) it has a small amount of fuel in it, do I need to or does anybody do anything to theirs when it's sat like this?

ie top tank up to full, empty tank, add a fuel preserver?? chain has all been lubed, tyres are not in contact with the ground etc

    Cheers

Just like you say, either fill it or empty it. If it were me, I'd empty it as a track bike should really have fresh fuel in it rather than 'winter storage' fuel. Leave enough at the bottom of the tank to let you start it every now and then and either drain the radiators or add an anti-freeze.

Our race bike is currently sitting with coolant in the radiator and fuel in the tank and started about every 4 weeks. The carbs will be out at the start of next season for a good scrub and then it'll be off to pre-season testing.
