    Hi,

Created a new post..need a quick answer before I commit and make a big mistake.

My bike is in Italy, and not road worthy.

I had got some quotes from Shiply - to transport a motorbike.

I have nearly accepted a quote - having some last minute thoughts around what if's!

The guy is coming from Italy and will be bringing the bike, was thinking what if he has issues at Dover crossing with the bike..is this possible?

Don't want to find there is some issue and i don't get my bike...

Anyone got any experience in bike transport?

    Sam

Done called Dover port..they said its fine..as vehicles get recovered all the time from across the border...

    Collection book...

Guy lowered the price... As he was coming this was anyway...£250 door to door

    Not bad...

Fingers crossed - my bike gets to me...

    Bikes arrived safe and sound..:D

    Made 2 new friends...

This guy lives in Italy, and is British - transports bikes in his Van and can take 4 - 5 in one go, he is all over the place...good thing to know..

He also said i were right - have to be very careful with who you trust on Shiply and he does not use it much - So i just go lucky.. lol
