I've been on a few European trips and only once has a member of the crew had to get his bike repatriated due to breakdown. Overall between us its cost a lot of money on insurance. We have been thinking if we all pay into a pot ... four of us say £50 each every time we go to the foreign, we could quickly build quite a pot, if it's not used. then when it gets to £1000.oop have a night out. We mostly go CZ, Germany, France, Swiss. Does anyone have good knowledge of the transport industry and able to say how much and is transport readily available to Jo public.
What about the breakdown organisations ?? Don't they do European cover ?....you could probably form a private club and get group cover that way for a year for £50 each..
Our idea is that we won't really need to recover anyone, but have a pot of money just in case. and we keep all the money ourselves to have a night on the beer... or two!
