Before you panic, all involved are ok, bikes included. For a while I've been taking our young lass on her 50cc for rides around the local roads to build up her confidence after completing her CBT in Jan. It's been quite a struggle getting a 16 y/o girl up to speed with traffic, but today she took her eye off the ball for just a second as a queue started to build up ahead, and as I slowed down to join the queue she shunted into the back of my Blade at around 20mph sending her skywards and her bike sliding down the road. She landed face down & on her chest and bits of moped flew across the road. Loads of cars stopped to help before I even managed to get off my bike to go back & help. Her bike was ridable, although now missing mirrors & lights. My bike is untouched. Having got her back after being stretchered off for 3 hours in A&E she just has bruised ribs & a battered bike. On the flip side, she did say that will still give riding a go and has learned to give more distance from the vehicle in front, even if it's so next time she doesn't side swipe me
My mate is a motoring claims solicitor…. worth a punt? LOL Everyone has an off, glad to hear it was relatively minor mate.
Glad your daughter is alright mate. Suppose it's all part of learning, and if she can analyse what she had done wrong, then she is definitely on her way to learning the roads.
Sounds like what I did in France in September, but I did a huge endo to avoid going into bikes stopped infront!
