Just been to youth football training tonite and ran to pick a discarded ball that was kicked wide.Whilst running, my foot went down a rabbit hole.Heard a crack and fell over.I've broken my ankle:( So no more riding this summer/ autumn.
Anyone know how long it takes to heal??

Take a picture of the offending hole and the grid reference of the Warren!

All depends on which foot it is, if its the right foot then all is good as you don't really need it, problem solved.....

Probably 6 weeks in cast then a good 6 months before good (sports) activity on it, depends on the severity of the break

I'd rather ride a Fs1e than a retched Harley. Was going out on bike last night too.So the Mrs and my lad had to put it away in the garage. That was painful watching them struggle to manoeuvre it without dropping it:rolleyes:

Did mine many moons ago, woul;d say when but it would be pre-history for people like Tyke ;) From what I recall I had 2 weeks with a stick and then was back doing PT about a week after that. Saying that it wasn't diagnosed as broken at the time and only an x-ray many years later saw the evidence of it.

Was involved in a MotoX crash years back. Ran into a pile of stacked bikes and put my foot down into a fast rotating back wheel. After the angle grinder and bolt croppers had done their bit it was about 6 weeks before racing again.

Sorry mate, but you are going to have to be put down.

In all seriousness though, quit howling, stick a bandage on it and get out on your bike.
FFS one of the Lowes did a full competitive race with a broken ankle, and you want to write off your season ?
In fact, maybe just get a mobility scooter and trade the bike in. ;):D

Did he? But come on he has the best docs around him.I've got NHS docs looking after me.(they're on limited resources).
Going to give it a weeks rest with this Air boot on then see how it goes.Maybe my bike boots will hold the ankle good :DIts the swelling that's got to come down to get the boot on.It looks like a chipmunk on the side of my leg.
