All I'll say is take into account import tax as Customs are getting quite hot on this now.

That's ok as long as the parcel doesn't get lost or damaged as it will only be insured for the amount on the form.

The only reason I say this is because I recently got stung by Customs for something I ordered in the US.

Check out this link: HM Revenue & Customs

Just looked at the Biohazard website... so unfair that everything is cheaper in the US. Spose there are places much dearer than here tho.

I used an import duty calculator to find out how much would be due...

    Product value: US$604.88
    Total customs value: £377.96
    Import duty: £13.98
    Import VAT: £78.39
Total import duty & VAT due: £92.37
Total landed cost: £470.34 at USD/GBP exchange rate of 0.6249

This does not include shipping but still much cheaper than the best new price I have seen from JHS at £699. What figures do you have blade1980?

That's really good, just had a quick look around their site, a GPR damper works out around £235.00 + post
They have a very good selection of "cans" as well, I can see me ordering a few bits off these guys. Are you going to place your order then mate

You have to pay import duty on the total amout including carriage costs which I don't think you have accounted for.

As someone else mention if you get the US Company to lower its value you are only insured for the lesser value.

Worth mentioning my mate bought Ohlins forks and ttx36 shock from the states and never got charged any import duty the lucky so and so, reckons he saved about £1400 in total so can be worth doing.

Biohazard are a sponsor on 1000rr.com and get good reviews I reckon you would be fine with them if thats the route you want to take but persoanlly a Akrapovic for £530 sounds very tempting.

I m not 100% sure but thought it might be worth mentioning I don't think you will get any support from the UK Yoshimura Distributer if you have any problems or its damaged in transit

That would be the VAT on the item.

I ordered something unrelated from the US which cost $300 plus shipping. Customs charged me £40 import tax and just to kick me in the bollocks whilst I'm down Parcel Force charge something like £15 for paying the charge & processing it.
