Hi All, My 2012 all black fireblade has been stolen today in Pecham, London. It has a Honda double bubble screen, Honda seat cowl, Scorpian GP exhaust, R&G tail tidy. The rear foot pegs are removed, Dunlop Qualifier 2 tyres front and rear. A witness saw 2 men (men? wankers....) reverse up to the bike with the back doors open, jump out and throw the bike in the back. All done in about 15 secs! If anyone is offered the bike or bits (I suspect its already in a 1000 bits) please let me know. Ted 07774 101378
Sorry to hear this Ted. Having been through the same thing last summer in the City, I know the pain you are feeling. You are probably right mate about being in bits already, unfortunately the law enforcement agency will take the line that you are insured so you cannot be a victim as you will get paid out, so don't pin any hopes of them helping you.
Heartbreaking mate, feel for you! Fecking 'Witness' wants a kick up the arse for watching and not taking down a number plate and description of the Van. Every feckers gota a camera phone nowadays so could've taken a few snaps also from a safe distance.
Sorry buddy, that's just crap. Any government or private CCTV in area that may have caught index plate of van or the offenders? I know it's no consolation but I hope that your insurance company are sensible with you.
So sorry for you mate! I also had my stolen from a secure car park by Liverpool st last summer and to set your expectations as mentioned above.... They won't investigate it as so many are stolen its not worth their while?!? And more than likely it will either be cloned and sold as another reg or shipped off in a container abroad. You will get an automatic email in a week or two informing you of this as I did so don't bother replying as they just ignore you.... Again feel for you mate that's absolute sh*t
That's rubbish mate. Hope everything works out insurance wise and you can move on with the least amount of hassle.
These post really make me think about getting round to fitting a £50 tracker off eBay - like so many things it's on my list...
Yup condolences Ted .its a pity property just can't be left alone I know one thing if it was my bike parked in London I would have been surprised if it hadn't been stolen ! Wonder why the cops don't do a Bait bike and I am sure this would clean up these suckers and the bigger ring within weeks .
I hate reading these posts! Hope you get an acceptable outcome to this mate, you have my sympathy. Lets hope they offer it to the wrong person!!
Gutted Not much more you can say about this sort of news. I've got a tracker on my '12 black blade, not so much in hope of getting it back if/when it gets nicked, more to try to catch the fcukers that do this sort of thing.
After my Blade was nicked last year, I went into a security panic, when I was dealing with the insurers on the payout, I was speaking with the claims handler, and he told me that they had stopped giving discounts for fitting alarms and trackers, alarms because they have no impact on theft, and trackers, because their company had never seen a bike with a tracker fitted, recovered. The only thing that gives you half a chance is chaining it to something solid with a chain and lock that will take them more than a few minutes to defeat. Plus I park in the same car park as Travelling Kiwi, his is newer than mine with better suspension........sorry kiwi, but yours is more attractive than mine to the theiving scum
Thanks for all the supporting posts. I will be getting a new one asap. Not least because my new ASV levers arrived this morning! A bit like the princess and the slipper I now have to find a bike that the levers fit! If anyone knows of a 'New' 2012 in black still sat in a dealers somewhere let me know. Thanks again. Ted
